Keck is a frequent contributor to Nerve.com and is the author of Oedipus Wrecked, a collection of autobiographical stories about his sexual coming of age, which Entertainment Weekly called "The short memoir of an amazingly perverted—and funny—young writer." The Dallas Morning News said of his second book, Are You There God? It's Me. Kevin., “Reading this book is a lot like talking with one of your buddies over a beer. Are You There, God? is a good read for anyone whose life is in upheaval or ever has been, and that covers just about all of us," and Time Out Chicago praised it as “Highly engaging...” His work has been anthologized in Best Sex Writing 2008 and his poems have appeared in numerous literary journals. A native of the south, Keck currently resides in Denver, North Carolina.
The Visiting Artists Symposium Lecture Series will feature guest speakers throughout the fall semester. Lectures are held at 2:30 on Tuesdays in the Wadleigh Library conference room. After the public session, the artists will be available to the students formally registered in the College's Visiting Artist Symposium (Course #IDS.301). The Fall 2008 series is coordinated by Darrell Matsumoto, Chair of the Department of Photography/Media Arts and Design.
