“In The City” paintings, drawings, and prints by Paul Inglis, will open in the Wadleigh Gallery at Chester College of New England on Friday, October 10. An opening reception will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 16.
Inglis is a Boston-based painter, printmaker and sculptor who uses the city around him as directly observed subject matter. He graduated from Massachusetts College of Art in 1986. Of his work, he said, “I am constantly outside sketching my environment to record the random arrangements of line and shape that are created by the interplay of light and shadow. In my studio, I further develop these recordings though the process of printmaking.”
“In The City” will continue through Friday, October 31.
